Castello di Ribano / Cantine Spalletti

Two identities, one land. A medieval castle and a historic winery, told as a single cinematic narrative.

A castle and a cellar, side by side on the hills of Savignano sul Rubicone, Italy. One speaks of stone, centuries, and silence; the other of vine, harvest, and the patience of the land. Two identities, two voices, and a brief that asked us not to choose between them, but to let them cross.

Two voices, one place

We treated the project as a dialogue, not as two separate accounts. The castle carries weight: ancient halls, the avenue of two hundred cypresses, the gravity of history. The winery carries life: rows of vines, the work of hands, the turning of the seasons.

Our content moved deliberately between the two: a frame of medieval stone answered by a frame of ripening Sangiovese, the formality of the residence softened by the warmth of the harvest.

The two narratives never compete. They complete each other.

The land, seen from above

To render a place this large, a hilltop castle wrapped in vineyards and centuries-old olive groves, we relied heavily on drone and aerial cinematography.

Aerial movement gave the location its true scale: the geometry of the rows, the cypress avenue cutting through the green, the castle standing over the estate at golden hour. What a ground-level shot could only suggest, the aerial frame made undeniable.

Live coverage: the estate in motion

A place like this lives through its events, so we covered them in real time, on site, the way we shoot everything: directed, not merely documented.

We followed a fashion show staged within the castle grounds, treating it as a film rather than a recap; and the evening musical events, where light, stone, and sound built an atmosphere we worked to hold in every frame. The content went out while the moment was still alive.

A calendar of seasons

The communication strategy was built to breathe with the land. Instead of a flat, year-round feed, we followed the seasonal rhythm of the estate

Each season has been given its own light, palette, and mood, the way the vineyard itself changes through the year.

Autumn became the clearest expression of this idea. We art-directed it as an homage to Caravaggio’s still lifes: deep chiaroscuro and warm, low light, the ripeness of the harvest, fruit and vine staged with painterly precision. The colors and the still-life compositions were built to read less like product photography and more like canvases. A season turned into images that carry the weight of art history.

Elegance

Where history meets the harvest

The result is a single body of work in which history, nature, and events fuse: a castle that is also a stage, a winery that is also a story, a landscape that becomes cinema from the air.

Two identities that, told together, say more than either could alone.
